Are you looking for another way to search the web? Also would you like to see valid search results? Well take a look at topsy.com. When you load up the site you will start to see trending topics and also when you do perform a search, your results are based on the traffic these sites are given by the heavy hitters on the web. Lets say you have a widget and this is created by 2 companies. If the first companys link is blogged and tweeted by lets say techcrunch, that will show higher in the search results than the other company providing the same widget.
recently obtained an email from flavors.me and wanted to jump back into the site to see what they have changed. On thing just right out my about the service, is is very slick when it comes to ease of use. they have that down. They have a little control panel that you can move around the site and you can also edit the page in real time. just click on a block of text and you can make your changes. for me, i do not know if a site like this is helpful, since i have my own domain. but if you are looking for a “central” place for people to find out about you, i think it is worth taking a look at flavors.me

Looking for a way to see what is really said on the web, other than doing a twitter search? As shown in an example on the site you can drill down to see all of the positive twitter mentions of the keyword, coffee by CEO’s in a certain city. This data is pretty amazing. This is just one of the many options you will see and also be able to see graphs show trends of these topics. Some of the features found in Research.ly: Geo Search Local Trending ReTweets Your Community Search Search Within Search Degress of Separation Related Search Share Your Search From the ReSearch.ly website, “We believe that search is a social act which relies on trust, and community. On the social web, communities form instantly around ideas, we just don’t always see them, or have the context to understand which conversations to trust. ReSearch.ly solves this by creating instant communities while you write, engage, or search on twitter, providing you with the most relevant, and reliable information. Every search is a sharable object with its own URL, encoded with the filtering, analytics, and community information you choose. By showing the context around information, ReSearch.ly allows you to [...]

If you are a small/medium/large business you need to be in social network, now. With all of the networks online, facebook, foursquare, gowalla and twitter just to name a few, now is a great time to get online. Even if you do not start posting, liking or checking in, at least you need to secure your location (name) and start to listen to the chatter. See what your competition is doing and as always learn from the mistakes of others. The item that made me think about creating a post if the twitter account that I follow for Dell. While not easy, and they have been very good at the plan they are executing, they have over 1.4 followers. With the ability to get a sale item in front of all those people with a link to buy the item, the generated income is great compared to the cost of delivery. If you have questions, let me know.
