I recently obtained my amateur call letters from the FCC, KD2AVI and have had the privilege to work a dozen or so fellow Hams on my local repeaters. While I am still fairly new, the community is has been fantastic.

While yes, there are easier was to communicate with people far away and I will not get into the joy of the hobby in this post, the main reason for this post is to note that each person that I have worked has been very nice and a joy to communicate. I am happy to have joined the community.
