Please pick a good password. In my day-to-day actions it amazes my how simple people pick passwords for email, websites and forums. I could only imagine how simple the passwords could be for more important information.
Here are a couple quick things to keep in mind:
- Do not use a word. Dictionary hacks are the most widely used breaches of security.
- Use a combination of letters and numbers.
- You can also use *&^% in your passwords.
- Write your password down. It has been found that if you are forced to remember a password you will make it simple. If you write it down, but keep it in a safe place, you will make a more advanced password.
- Change your passwords on a regular schedule.
