Hello... thanks for your time.

Free Books on Tape

Published by Frank | Filed under Opinions, Personal

I spend an average of 3 hours in the car per day.

Like others….

  • I became bored, of the fm - am stations.
  • Satellite radio filled a void for a short time, but found this is just a paid version of “free” radio.
  • Currently I download podcasts for the commute.
  • New - Books on tape for FREE!

I have been a long time user of Audible.com, this fills my need to catch up on books. But i have found a new way to obtain audio books for free. Enter into the picture, your local library. I have found that my local library has a online collection of hundreds of audio books, and they are all free. I have taken a few items from my wish list on Audible and obtained the same titles from the library site.

I do not see myself leaving Audible.com, the site is easy to use and they do have the largest collection of books. But if you can save a few bucks here and there, why not look into it.

So take a walk down to your local library and ask the nice person behind the counter to see is they offer this service in your area. I have found this to be a great resource.
