The Mullet is Back…sort of.

Many of the new “stars” of the internet right now are embrasing the mullet plan. Business up front, party in the back. Sites like digg.com and youtube.com allow for user submissions. The submissions makes the site, what they are today. Most of these submissions are not worth the read, but they add content to the site. The managers of the sites are pulling from these submissions the cream of the crop and creating business front pages. This was to the advertisers they appear to be a business, but in the back they are all party.
